Eighteen-hundred Nineteen brought a period of great flowering for the young English Romantic poet, John Keats. During this year he would compose six of his great odes, which indeed would come to be known as the 1819 odes. These poems are: “Ode on a Grecian Urn”, “Ode on Indolence”, “Ode on Melancholy”, “Ode to a Nightingale”, “Ode to Psyche,” and “To Autumn.”
